Q: Are there recurring fees for my website through NightOwl past the initial design?
A: No, unlike some other website development companies there are no additional monthly maintenance fees payable to NightOwl. Our entire goal is to make our clients self-reliant and eliminate excess monthly payments that weigh down small companies. If at any point you want to redesign your site or add substantial additional content/capabilities than a separate arrangement would be worked out for that future work.
Q: What about hosting fees and domain name fees for my website?
A: In keeping with our goal of empowering companies directly we prefer that you maintain your hosting and domain names directly in order to have full control. That means you’ll be billed directly from a host of your choice for any such fees. These fees are typically quite minimal and can be paid in long-term commitments to avoid monthly invoices. NightOwl will help set up these accounts initially, provide suggestions as to which providers we’ve had success with in the past, and often have coupons codes available to reduce your costs, but ultimately you retain all control. Having control of your own website is fundamentally important!
Q: What level of support is offered for my website after completion of the design & development project?
A: Most all of our website design clients qualify for our post-design “WingSpan Support Program”. This program offers unlimited support that includes many of the common maintenance tasks such as: plugin updating, continued SEO support, and technical assistance for blogging/adding content. Again, our commitment to be friendly for smaller businesses and owner operated companies extends to our post-design support as well. You’ll find us very accommodating in getting you up to speed on maintaining your website independently.
Q: I have a deadline upcoming for a print ad or to get a website online at once, how quickly can NightOwl complete the job?
A: Depending upon the scope of the project you’ll find our turnaround times are exceedingly business friendly. The NightOwl name comes about due to our ability to work through the night to meet quick deadlines. Of course we prefer having adequate time to complete a project because it typically does result in a more well polished result and reduces the opportunity for error. However, we know sometimes a factor out of your control necessitates a quick completion.
Q: Does NightOwl offer packaged rates for a long-term commitment or to work on multiple projects?
